摘要：This invention relates to the use of certain substituted pyrrolo[2,3-d] -pyrimidine nucleosides in the treatment of viral infections, in particular those caused byhuman immunodeficiency virus type 1, herpes simplex virus type 1 and humancytomegalovirus. These substituted compounds retain antiviral properties present intheir parent compounds yet exhibit significantly decreased levels of cytotoxicity.
