smooth the image. Edges in the image are detected and an edge map is generated.Straight lines are detected from the detected edges in the edge map. One or morequadrangles are assembled from the detected straight lines. The quadrangles aresorted. One of the one or more quadrangles are selected based on the sorting. Aselected quadrangle is returned to the user.
