摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain a knit fabric resistant to collapse using a weft knittingmachine by making the preceding course plain stitch loop of the needle of the 1st needlebed to a transfer state and repeating the knitting to feed a yarn to the needle of the 2ndneedle bed and the knitting to perform a course of plain stitch with both needle beds.CONSTITUTION:The weft knitting machine used in the present process is provided with atransfer lock capable of selectively introducing a knitting needle to a loop-transfer orbitor a loop-receiving orbit in the same phase of single knitting block capable of guiding aknitting needle to three positions comprising knit, tack and welt. The preceding courseplain stitch loop hooked to a needle of the 1st needle bed 1 is transferred to theopposite needle of the 2nd needle bed during the transfer state and, at the same time, ayarn is newly supplied to the needle of the transfer-side of the needle bed to performthe knitting operation. The above process and a process for knitting each one course ofplain stitch with both needle beds are alternately repeated.
