摘要：An articulated x-ray table (10) comprises a planar, rigid radiolucent top support(12a, 12b) and a base (16a, 16b) spaced therefrom to form a gap (34) whereby

radiographic plates can be inserted and withdrawn. The gap is maintained by the use ofone or more trolleys (50) that are moveable along the length of the table to be movedinto proximity to the location where the plate is to be inserted. Generally, two of thetrolleys are used along either side of the table for placement near the x-ray plate. Thetrolleys move in grooves (36a, 36b) or tracks on the edges of the base along the lengthof the table. Each trolley includes wheels (88a, 88b, 90a, 90b) that engage the grooves,and a separate roller (74) that engages the top support. This permits the trolleys to beeasily moved along the guide notwithstanding the weight of a patient on the table. Thetable can be used for animals and humans.
